Los médicos veterinarios acreditados por USDA APHIS deben reportar al Veterinario a Cargo y al Oficial Estatal de Salud Animal todo diagnóstico o caso sospechoso de enfermedad animal transmisible para las cuales APHIS tiene control o un programa de erradicación (9 CFR chapter 1) y todo diagnóstico o caso sospechoso de cualquier enfermedad animal que no se conozca de su existencia en Estados Unidos (provisto por 71.3(b)).
